All licensed Architects in Nigeria are required to abide by the terms and conditions found in the ARCON standard agreement.
Section 11 “Copyright and Use of Information” stipulates as follows:
“11.1 Copyright
The Architect owns the copyright of the work produced in the performance of services and assets the rights to be identified as the author of the artistic work and or work of architecture comprising the Project.”
“11.2 Use of Information
The Client, with the express permission of the Architect, is allowed the use of documents produced by the Architect, hereinafter called ‘the Material’, only for purposes related to the Project on the Site or part thereof.”
